TIDAL POWER STATIONS

Tidal energy is obtained from the tides. You can only take advantage of it in those areas where the tides are very pronounced, i.e. the difference in water level between low tide and high tide is very large. It is a very diffuse energy source whose use requieres very special conditions. It consists of "catching" the water in a reservoir when the tide is high so that when the tide drops, a slope between the water inside the dam and the sea is created. If we open the floodgates to level the water, the power of the water will drive the turbines whose shaft will produce electricity.

This is a clean energy with no wastes and which reduces the dependence on other polluting energies.
